CLTW Roles and Responsibilities:
Kathy Cochran is the Co-PI of The Center for Learning
and Teaching in
the West at University of Northern Colorado. She teaches the Cognition
and Instruction I and II courses and conducts research on cultural
aspects of learning and cognition and in patterns of interaction
in online instructional settings.
Primary Research Interests:
Individual differences in learning and cognition,
philosophical aspects of
learning and teaching, and systems theory perspectives.

Kathy Cochran holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology
from Purdue
University. She is the Coordinator of the Graduate Program in
the School of
Psychological Sciences at UNC. She was a Co-PI of the Rocky Mountain

Education Collaborative, funded by NSF, from 1994 – 2002.
