Ongoing formative and summative evaluation is critical to the development
and success of the Center. Understanding and appreciating the role
of evaluation is also an important element of leadership development.
For these reasons, CTLW has embedded evaluation implementation and
capacity building through out its programs. Evaluation is based on
the following assumptions:
- Evaluation design flows from a grounded understanding of the
Center’s models for change within each of the strands and
across all Center activities,
- Developing capacity to effectively conduct and learn from evaluative
activities is an important aspect of educational leadership,
- Capacity building will be embedded in the fellows strand as
well in the programmatic strands,
- Participatory approaches that engage Center faculty and staff
and program participants in evaluation activities is central to
the Center’s evaluation efforts.
